Peter Hofstra is Manitou's President & Chief Investment Officer, and supports the team as analyst and portfolio manager. Peter has over 20 years experience in technology, business, and investing.

Prior to joining Manitou, Peter spent eight years as a senior manager with a technology company, six years as analyst and manager of a science and technology portfolio with one of Canada’s largest investment firms, and two years as V.P. and Portfolio Manager, focused on clean technology investments, at Greenrock Asset Management, a company he helped found.

Peter brings a strong technology background and a bottom-up investment approach to the management team. Peter is also the lead portfolio manager of the Manitou Focus⁺ LP, a fund investing in compelling companies which also demonstrate a commitment to environmentally sustainable conduct.

Peter obtained a B.Sc. in Chemistry, a Ph.D in Engineering Physics and holds his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
